Job summary

Engineering Resource Group, Inc. in Philadelphia seeks a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to supervise all phases of mechanical design and construction for healthcare facilities.

You will ensure design and production stay on budget and schedule. Responsibilities include developing design concepts with clients, preparing specifications, calculations, energy analyses, field reviews, mentoring junior designers, and coordinating with trades.

Qualifications

• Registered PE with a Mechanical Engineering degree plus at least 10 years of experience.
• Experience in commercial building mechanical design, preferably with healthcare facility design experience.
• Engineering calculation software and equipment selection programs.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Ensure design and production are completed within project budgets and schedules.
• Generate project specifications and conduct and design calculations and equipment selections for HVAC, plumbing, and other building mechanical systems.
• Evaluate and assess existing systems.
• Perform energy payback analysis.
• Produce proposals and make presentations.
• Work directly with client to develop design concepts based on objectives and budget, assuring project compliance with codes and standards.
• Manage project staff, quality, and budget; coordinate with other trades as needed.
• Maintain client and contractor relationships.
• Perform field reviews, investigations, and process submittals during construction phase.
• Mentor junior designers.
• Registered PE with a Mechanical Engineering degree plus at least 10 years of experience.
