Job summary

Thompson & Litton Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Engineer or Designer to join our team in Princeton, WV. You'll be involved in the design of mechanical systems for commercial and institutional projects, including HVAC and fire protection systems.

The ideal candidate has at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and is familiar with industry standards. We offer a flexible work environment and a culture of mentorship.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in mechanical system design within commercial or institutional sectors.
• Strong working knowledge of codes and standards (ICC, ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Ability to deliver projects on time and budget while effectively communicating.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of comprehensive mechanical design packages, including HVAC and plumbing.
• Perform critical calculations for HVAC loads and energy usage.
• Conduct site visits, gathering data for designs.
• Generate project specifications and written reports.
• Manage RFIs and submittal reviews during construction.
