Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) for a permanent role in Northumberland. Salary: £45,000-£46,000. Working 35.5 hours per week with early finish Fridays.

Manage projects from inception to completion and provide mechanical engineering expertise across design, development, installation and commissioning. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of mechanical engineering or capital project experience.
• Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality.
• Prepare and present project proposals with cost justifications and progress updates.
• Review drawings and specifications for compliance and accuracy.
• Provide mechanical engineering input across design, development, installation, and commissioning.
• Produce 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Drive improvements in quality, machine efficiency, and safety.
• Advise on spare parts and stock levels for new equipment.
• Evaluate and appoint subcontractors based on cost, delivery, and quality.
• Ensure safety regulations and CDM compliance where applicable.
• Interface with regulatory bodies as required.
