Job summary

MARSHALLTOWN Hammer LLC seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to develop and implement cost-efficient manufacturing processes in line with product specifications and quality standards. The role requires hands-on mechanical experience and the ability to design and source equipment, including robotic systems for automation.

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive manufacturing/mechanical engineering experience in a manufactured products environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience designing machines and machine components including shafts, bearings, motors, frames, fixturing, etc.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs research, design, and development of manufacturing processes and product designs.
• Evaluates business cases for new manufacturing processes, presents recommendations to upper management.
• Creates new designs to solve difficult manufacturing problems.
• Designs or sources production equipment, robotic systems and automation equipment.
• Prepares detailed CAD models and drawings to facilitate fabrication.
