Job summary

MARSHALLTOWN is recruiting Electrical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 in our Fayetteville, Arkansas office location. You will gain hands-on experience implementing and supporting automation solutions to improve the efficiency of our manufacturing process and machines.

As an intern, you will design electrical control systems, program robots and PLCs, and collaborate with mentors to solve real manufacturing challenges while developing practical skills in safety and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Controls, or related technology field.
• GPA 3.0 or above.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical and/or Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of circuit design and power systems.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc Robots, and/or HAAS CNCs.

Responsibilities

• Design, specify, and implement electrical control systems.
• Design and implement mechanical systems and fixtures for use in automated applications.
• Program robots, PLCs, HMIs, and CNC equipment.
• Work with mentors and teams to solve problems to improve real manufacturing processes.
• Improve system designs for better safety and production efficiency.
• Develop and execute in-house testing procedures.
• Perform data collection and analysis.
