About the Role

This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined Project Engineer with a strong background in HVAC system design for large-scale, critical facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating mechanical deliverables across multiple data center projects, interfacing with design teams, contractors, and end clients to ensure high-performance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support HVAC system design for hyperscale and enterprise data center projects
• Collaborate with internal and external design teams to develop mechanical drawings, specifications, and system layouts
• Coordinate across disciplines to ensure integration of cooling, electrical, and automation systems
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs for compliance with design intent and project requirements
• Support equipment selection, load calculations, and system sizing (chilled water, DX, VRF, etc.)
• Assist with mechanical modeling (Revit, AutoCAD) and performance analysis (e.g., Trane TRACE)
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and construction support activities
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and ensure adherence to standards and codes (ASHRAE, local codes)

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3–7 years of HVAC design experience, preferably in mission-critical or large commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system types including chilled water, CRAC/CRAH, economizers, and VRF
• Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and load calculation software (e.g., Trane TRACE, HAP)
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, energy codes, and commissioning principles
• Strong communication and project coordination skills
• PE license or progress toward licensure is a plus
