Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Nashville team onsite. You will develop conceptual designs and system‑level architecture for automated manufacturing projects, coordinating with engineers and customers to ensure successful delivery.

You will lead multi‑project efforts, establish schedules, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of related experience.
  • Professional Engineer OR other technical Certifications preferred.
  • Experienced with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual designs and create system level architecture.
  • Establish project plans including coordination of technical resources and design directions.
  • Complete layout of machine through detail of all components.
  • Lead teams and influence project direction and progress.
  • Assist in developing the Mechanical Engineering department through leadership and mentorship.
