Join a Growing, Forward-Thinking EPC Organization

We are partnering with an established and expanding EPC firm with a strong reputation in the chemical processing industry. The organization is known for engineering excellence, successful project delivery, and investment in future-state initiatives that position them for long-term growth. With a robust project pipeline and additional opportunities on the horizon, this role offers both immediate impact and long-term career potential.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with strong EPC chemical plant experience to join a growing Houston-based team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle — from FEED through detailed engineering (Phase II & III) and construction handover — contributing to meaningful, high-visibility projects.

This is more than a contract role. With consistent incoming work and strategic expansion underway, there is a strong likelihood of permanent placement for high performers.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and support mechanical design activities for chemical plant projects
  • Contribute to engineering efforts from FEED through detailed design and construction handoff
  • Review and validate:
    • P&IDs
    • Line lists
    • Mechanical specifications and design documents
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with process, piping, instrumentation, and construction teams
  • Provide technical input during design reviews and support constructability planning
  • Help resolve field and technical issues during execution phases
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, and compliance standards
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5–8+ years of experience in EPC and chemical plant environments (closer to 8 years preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in plant design and project lifecycle execution
  • Strong understanding of FEED, detailed engineering, and construction transition processes
  • Experience reviewing and developing P&IDs, line lists, and equipment specifications
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced project environment
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Long-term engagement with strong potential for permanent conversion
  • Stable and expanding project pipeline
  • Exposure to impactful chemical processing projects
  • Opportunity to grow within a respected, future-focused EPC organization
  • Houston-based role in the West Katy area

If you’re a mechanical engineer looking for both stability and upward mobility within a growing organization, this is an excellent opportunity to make a measurable impact while positioning yourself for long-term career growth.
