Job summary

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engineered process equipment including packed towers, process vessels, and mass transfer systems.
• Perform engineering calculations related to pressure drop, heat transfer, mass transfer, equipment sizing, and process performance.
• Prepare design packages including calculations, datasheets, bills of materials, engineering documentation, and drawing markups.
• Evaluate process conditions including chemistry, temperature, pressure, abrasion, corrosion, and thermal cycling to determine appropriate material and lining selections.
• Work closely with steel fabricators, suppliers, and internal engineering teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet project requirements.
• Review fabrication drawings, vessel geometry, nozzle layouts, tolerances, and critical interfaces before production.
• Coordinate technical reviews with vendors, evaluate material substitutions, review inspection documentation, and resolve engineering issues.
• Support estimating by preparing technical scopes, material takeoffs, project assumptions, and engineering clarifications.
• Provide occasional support during installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Participate in continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and helping improve engineering standards and design practices.

About the Opportunity

We're partnering with an established engineering and manufacturing organization that designs and delivers highly engineered process equipment used in demanding industrial and chemical processing environments. This is a hands‑on engineering role where you'll work on custom projects from concept through startup, collaborating with customers, fabricators, suppliers, manufacturing, and field teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chemical or Process Engineer looking to own projects from beginning to end while working on technically challenging equipment and corrosion-resistant process systems.

What You'll Be Doing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (related engineering degrees may be considered with directly applicable experience).
• Approximately 10+ years of engineering experience involving industrial process equipment or similar engineered systems.
• Strong engineering calculation and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
