Job summary

K2M Design is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on mechanical and plumbing system design for large projects, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Candidates should have a ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree, at least 5 years in mechanical engineering, and Revit proficiency. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science from an ABET accredited college or university.
• 5+ years experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
• Revit proficiency, required.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in the design of mechanical systems including heating, ventilation, cooling, exhaust, and specialty systems for commercial and public buildings.
• Knowledgeable in the design of plumbing systems including gas, potable water, sanitary, sewer, fire suppression, and specialty systems for commercial and public buildings.
• Undertakes a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard engineering techniques for small projects or selected segments of a larger project.
• Relies on experience and judgement for design, development, implementation, and analysis of engineering designs and systems.
• Produces high quality, accurate, and consistent drawings.
• Collects and prepares data/information and performs engineering calculations. Develops technical specifications and data sheets.
• Performs construction administration, drawing review, and response to RFI’s.
• Assists in field work. Available to travel, as needed, dependent upon specific project assignments. 15% of time reserved for travel.

Position Summary
