Job summary

IMEG Corporation seeks a Mechanical Project Designer in Pensacola, FL to lead HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design on low to moderate complexity projects and assist with larger projects. You will perform engineering analysis, develop detailed designs, and coordinate with engineers, clients, and consultants to deliver effective mechanical solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to budgets, and safety.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
• EIT certification preferred
• 3+ years in building design consulting; 4+ preferred
• Associates in BIM/Engineering preferred
• 7+ years in building design/ construction industry required
• Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design principles
• Experience with BIM software and MS Office suite
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
• Not eligible for sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Lead design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Develop designs, specifications, and calculations with engineering software
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical info
• Support project execution: planning, budgeting, scheduling, progress tracking
• Document design decisions and project metrics
• Analyze problems and develop practical solutions with senior staff
• Perform in-process reviews and apply quality control processes
• Stay current with industry trends and innovations
• Identify and mitigate safety risks
• Collaborate across teams for bidding and construction administration
