Position Summary
The role of Mechanical Production Technician supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality. As a Mechanical Production Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly of wind turbine components (Machine House, Hubs, and Drive Trains) according to established quality, safety, and environmental procedures.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble wind turbine components such as the machine house, hub, and drive train using various assembly tools and systems, including overhead cranes.
  • Coordinate with PQA and Engineering to conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot electrical connectivity issues.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment to prevent injuries.
  • Conduct safety inspections and report equipment status.
  • Review and suggest improvements to assembly procedures; participate in quality audits.
  • Assist mechanical assembly operators as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

What You Have

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree in electrical or electro-mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Assembly certifications from military or recognized institutions preferred.
  • Experience in electrical or electromechanical roles in assembly or maintenance environments.
  • Strong work ethic, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Crane operator certification (must be achieved and maintained).
  • Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 quality system is a plus.
  • Ability to meet OSHA and ANSI weight limits of 265 lbs. or less.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical to ensure ability to perform job functions safely.
