Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, located in Calabasas, CA, is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to perform mechanical engineering duties on industrial plant projects. The role focuses on design, analysis, and coordination with cross-functional teams across project sites.

The ideal candidate will hold a four-year engineering degree (Mechanical/Chemical or similar) with at least four years of experience and strong CAD skills (Revit/Plant 3D/AutoCAD MEP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with a major in Mechanical, Chemical or similar discipline.
• Minimum four years engineering experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD MEP, Inventor, SolidWorks or MicroStation).
• Willingness to travel up to 40% and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop P&IDs and perform mass and energy balance calculations.
• Perform site investigations and equipment sizing for pumps, pipes, ducts and conveyors.
• Generate engineering and construction documents, drawings and specifications.
• Manage site construction activities, budgets and schedules.
• Support startup and commissioning of process and HVAC systems.
