Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering in Roseville, CA is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to work on projects in diverse industrial plants. You will develop P&IDs, perform mass and energy balance calculations, and support commissioning.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or similar discipline.
• At least four years of engineering experience.
• Proficient with at least one 3D CAD software (Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD MEP, Inventor, SolidWorks, MicroStation).
• High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project software.
• Ability to travel to project sites (up to 40%).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to stay organized in execution of project work.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Must have a valid driver's license and travel up to 40% to local and national sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop P&IDs for diverse industrial plants.
• Perform mass and energy balance calculations.
• Conduct site investigations and data collection.
• Size and select pumps, pipes, ducts, conveyors, and related equipment.
• Generate engineering drawings, specifications, and documents.
• Manage site construction activities and coordinate contractors.
• Support startup and commissioning of process and HVAC systems.
