Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Pre-Commissioning Technician 1 to support the preparation and commissioning of mechanical systems. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and hands-on installation work across diverse job sites in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and maintain an Action Item List (punch list) for monitoring and resolving issues.
• Verify components are installed per drawings with accuracy.
• Ensure units are positioned at correct elevation, straight and level.
• Confirm supports and hangers are plumb and secured.
• Check for loose or missing hardware to maintain system integrity.
• Verify belt path and tension are correct and supervised.
• Learn product tracking methods to improve system efficiency.
• Complete all items from the model-specific checklist with attention to detail.
• Learn how to confirm build speeds of all units meet specifications.
• Perform low-volume tests with varied carton sizes to check dead zones and edge tracking.
• Install, run-in, and fix equipment to ensure flawless operation.
