Job summary

AM Mechanical seeks Mechanical Project Manager Interns for Summer 2027 in Downers Grove, IL. You will assist project managers with estimating, scheduling, and coordinating design meetings, gaining hands-on experience in the construction process.

You must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s in ME/CM/Architectural Eng, with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and openness to full-time after graduation. Includes weekly training, mentorship, and travel opportunities. Compensation: $27–$28/hr.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in ME, CM, or Arch Eng.
• GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Open to full-time opportunity after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with estimating and scheduling.
• Attend design meetings with owners and engineers.
• Send bid instructions to subs and evaluate proposals.
• Review shop drawings and communicate with subcontractors.
• Support billing, change orders, and cost status.
• Visit job sites with the Project Manager and superintendent.
• Participate in weekly training sessions.
