Job summary

NANA Worley in Anchorage, AK seeks a mechanical/piping engineer to provide project leadership and discipline support across oil and gas projects. The role emphasizes design, analysis, and coordination with clients and fabrication teams.

You will review drawings, define scope, prepare estimates and schedules, ensure compliance with ASME codes and industry standards, and mentor other engineers as needed. A North Slope experience is valued and Alaska PE is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
  • Alaska PE license required.
  • Minimum five (5) years engineering experience in the oil and gas industry required.
  • Minimum two (2) years off-pad pipeline engineering experience.
  • Engineering experience for projects on the North Slope – Alaska required.
  • Proficiency in Bentley AutoPIPE or other piping stress analysis software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and analyzes data to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Works with clients to develop project scope, estimates, and schedules.
  • Reviews and approves project drawings, standards and specifications.
  • Develops major equipment and material selection and construction specifications.
  • Uses design software to perform engineering tasks.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable codes, regulations and laws.
  • Provides support during fabrication and installation phases to ensure documents are followed.
  • Coordinates activities with other project disciplines.
  • Provides technical direction and information to other engineers and drafters.
  • Demonstrates professional skills in structuring activities and solving problems.
  • Other duties pertinent to the department's success may be assigned.
