H & G Systems, LP in Dallas, TX is seeking a Mechanical Piping Lead to head piping installations on commercial and industrial projects across the North Texas area, including data centers, manufacturing facilities, and healthcare campuses.

In this role, you will lead field crews, perform advanced welding (6010/6011/7018, TIG stainless), and ensure safety, quality, and project deadlines. A take-home truck and year-round work are provided.

Formación

• Experience with commercial/industrial HVAC piping systems.
• Proficient welding with 6010/6011/7018 electrodes.
• TIG welding on stainless steel piping.
• Copper soldering on piping ¼" to 3".
• Familiar with grooved, threaded, ProPress, MegaPress piping systems.
• Experience leading apprentices or small field crews.
• Ability to read blueprints, specs, and isometrics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record.

Responsabilidades

• Lead mechanical piping installations on commercial and industrial projects.
• Coordinate daily manpower, materials, equipment, and jobsite activities.
• Perform and oversee advanced pipe welding, fabrication, and fitting.
• Install and troubleshoot chilled water systems, pumps, chillers, and related equipment.
• Mentor apprentices and junior craftsmen on projects.

What You'll Do

As a Mechanical Piping Lead, you'll provide hands-on leadership while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

• Lead mechanical piping installations on commercial and industrial projects
• Coordinate daily manpower, materials, equipment, and jobsite activities
• Perform and oversee advanced pipe welding, fabrication, and fitting
• Install and troubleshoot chilled water systems, pumps, chillers, and specialty mechanical equipment
• Support plant shutdowns, retrofits, equipment replacements, and system upgradesInterpret project drawings, specifications, and installation requirements
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards on every project
• Mentor apprentices and junior craftsmen while helping develop the next generation of mechanical professionals

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in commercial and industrial HVAC piping systems
• Advanced welding experience using 6010, 6011, and 7018 electrodes
• TIG welding experience on stainless steel piping
• Copper soldering experience on piping systems ranging from ¼" to 3"
• Proficiency with grooved, threaded, ProPress, and MegaPress piping systems
• Experience leading apprentices, helpers, or small field crews
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and isometric drawings
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
