Job summary

Qualifications

• Six years of related experience in a mechanical trade or a U.S. DOL certificate in a mechanical trade.
• Must pass GM hiring process including comprehensive assessments, drug testing, and background check.
• At least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including overtime, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• GM does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA and GM safety procedures.
• Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, and repair piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints for conveyor systems, robots, and automation.
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
• Set up and operate CNC machines to shape parts to spec.
• Plan sequences of operations using blueprints or models.
• Verify finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
