Position Overview
A Piping Designer is responsible for the development of a project using Revit/AutoCAD and coordinating with other disciplines. The Piping Designer is an important part of the prefabrication process as they are also expected to use M-Suite to create spool sheets for our in-house fabrication shop.

General Responsibilities

• Translating 2D drawings to a 3D model
• Modeling using Revit and AutoCAD (primarily Revit)
• Clash detection using FlyPaper and NavisWorks
• BIM coordination with other trades
• Develop spool drawings using M-Suite
• Coordinate and participate in meetings
• Bring attention to problem areas on the job

Qualifications

• Education: Higher education degree, high school diploma or GED
• Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, CAD, and others
• Basic understanding of piping systems
• Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Strong desire for continued growth and learning in a team environment
• Problem solving and attention to detail
