Job summary

ENFRA in the United States seeks a Mechanical Professional Engineer I to apply core engineering principles to design, analyze, and support HVAC, hydronic, energy systems across hospital and college campuses within ENFRA’s design-build model.

You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare calculations and specifications, assist with field surveys, and help deliver reliable, energy-efficient solutions while traveling to job sites up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural or mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of design experience.
• PE license.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents as applicable.
• Design and evaluation of mechanical systems (HVAC, hydronic, energy systems).
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications under established standards.
• Assist with detailed system configurations and control schemes for energy savings.
• Conduct field investigations and support site visits; coordinate 3D laser scanning.
• Assist in project execution and coordination with internal teams.
• Apply engineering techniques within defined assignments.
• Work under general supervision and escalate complex problems to senior staff.
• Develop client interaction skills in a supported setting.
