Job summary

Per Sé Group in Darien, Illinois is seeking a Mechanical Panel Technician for a long-term contract-to-hire role. You will fabricate and assemble industrial control panels and enclosures, with emphasis on drilling, tapping, measuring, and following drawings.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, is comfortable with hand and power tools, and can work from drawings to deliver precise panel assemblies in a shop environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
• Experience drilling and tapping.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings or prints.
• Experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, machine building, or a similar hands-on environment is a plus.
• Experience measuring and laying out material before drilling or tapping is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drill and tap metal control panels and enclosures.
• Measure, mark, and lay out components for installation.
• Perform mechanical assembly and fabrication work.
• Use hand and power tools safely and accurately.
• Read and follow mechanical drawings, prints, and basic schematics.
• Prepare panels and enclosures for component installation.
• Complete detailed assembly work according to specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
