Job summary

L2x Talent Solutions seeks a capable technician in Illinois to assemble machinery and build electrical control panels from start to finish. You will read mechanical drawings and AutoCAD Electrical schematics to install components, wire systems, and complete builds that meet quality standards.

The role requires ability to interpret technical drawings, work independently or on a team, and maintain safety procedures. Forklift experience is preferred; training may be provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 1–2 years experience in a manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, or industrial technician role
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Experience operating a forklift is preferred; training can be provided
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred but not required; training may be provided
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assemble machinery and equipment using mechanical blueprints and assembly drawings
• Build and wire electrical control panels from start to finish, including panel layout, component installation, tapping, and wiring according to AutoCAD Electrical schematics
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately
• Complete machine builds and component assemblies in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards
• Assemble parts and equipment to fulfill customer sales orders
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring issues, faulty components, emergency stop circuits, and machine guarding systems
