Job summary

QCS Staffing Ltd. seeks a Package Owner (Mechanical) for a major life sciences facility in North Carolina on a 12-month contract.

You will oversee package coordination, review mechanical drawings, and ensure alignment with design intent and project requirements on a next-generation build. The role requires extensive hands-on field experience on complex industrial projects, strong HVAC knowledge, ability to resolve clashes with other disciplines, and collaboration with Engineering, Construction,

Qualifications

• Extensive mechanical experience on complex industrial or major capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, air handling, ductwork, chillers and mechanical utilities.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and vendor documents; familiarity with ASHRAE standards.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, submittals and vendor information against design intent and project requirements.
• Provide field input to design reviews; verify site conditions and constructability constraints.
• Own package design comments, discrepancies and RFIs through closure; coordinate approvals.
• Coordinate HVAC and equipment interfaces with piping, electrical, instrumentation and CSA teams; resolve clashes across disciplines.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Quality, C&Q and Operations to ensure installations reflect approved design and quality requirements.
