Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc, Fernandina Beach Mill, seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain and overhaul equipment in a 24/7 mill environment. You will read drawings, interpret BOMs, perform PMs, and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems.

Required are 5+ years in industrial settings, ability to work weekends/holidays, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Recent work experience within last 4 years (2+ years).
• Ability to work weekends/holidays and tolerate heat, noise, and outdoor/indoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and BOMs to plan maintenance.
• Assemble, dismantle and overhaul machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Operate common paper mill equipment safely and efficiently.
