Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for the Fernandina Beach Mill to support continuous pulp and paper manufacturing. You will perform quality maintenance on electrical, electronic, and instrumentation systems to maximize run time and reliability.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience, a strong background in 480V three-phase power, and the ability to read electrical drawings and PLC logic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED is required.
• 5+ years of Instrumentation and Electrical experience in a production maintenance environment.
• Journeyman or apprenticeship program preferred.
• Computer skills including MS Office and ability to quickly learn new software.
• Strong electrical background with 480-volt 3-Phase power distribution and Controls.
• Ability to read Electrical and Instrumentation Drawings and PLC Ladder Logic.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace electrical, electronic and instrumentation devices.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to troubleshoot and maintain process control systems.
• Initiate and complete work-orders and document all critical and/or pertinent information on a routine basis.
