Job summary

Google is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer in Sunnyvale to lead electro-mechanical product development and scalable manufacturing for core Google hardware. You will guide design-for-manufacturing decisions, optimize production lines, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams across supply chain and hardware engineering.

The role emphasizes expertise in stamping, molding, casting, extrusion, machining, and assembly to enable high-volume

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in process or product development for electro-mechanical assemblies for electronic systems.
3 years of process, design, or product development experience for mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical expert for tooling, automation, and process development.
Define medium- and long-term manufacturing strategy and architecture for scalability.
Drive cost, quality, and efficiency improvements across manufacturing lines.
Lead data-driven decisions using advanced statistical tools to optimize production.
Collaborate across Hardware, Design, Supply Chain, Operations and Quality teams.
