Job summary

AVL Manufacturing USA seeks a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to bridge engineering and operations at our Charlotte, NC facility, enhancing efficiency and quality of production cycles.

You will collaborate with engineering and shop teams to interpret designs, develop solutions, and implement changes that strengthen assembly, fabrication, and overall process reliability. 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience is expected.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or university degree in mechanical/industrial engineering
  • Min 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in fabrication and production environments
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, and ERP systems
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
  • Electrical knowledge would be considered a plus

Responsibilities

  • Interpret approved design models/drawings and communicate solutions to the shop floor
  • Improve overall plant assembly efficiency including fabrication and production processes
  • Collaborate with lead hands to develop engineering solutions for production issues
  • Assist in creating and implementing engineering change requests (ECRs)
  • Support quality improvements through refinements in the assembly process
  • Coordinate with Electrical and Mechanical teams to ensure build accuracy and timelines
  • Conduct root-cause analysis with QA for manufacturing issues
  • Develop methods, tools, and jigs to improve the assembly process

About the Role

Qualifications


  • College Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering Technology or University Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engin
