Job summary

New Fortress Energy is seeking a Maintenance Technician Mechanical to service the San Juan, Puerto Rico terminal. The role requires hands-on maintenance of complex machinery to keep production goals met, on a 24/7 shift schedule.

The candidate must be physically capable of moving, lifting, and standing for long periods. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in a process plant or similar setting, an engineering degree, and experience with rotative equipment, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in a process plant or terminal environment.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• Extensive maintenance experience with rotative equipment (pumps, compressors, valves).
• Knowledge of repair/maintenance activities, electrical/hydraulic processes and systems.
• Familiarity with operating E-Maintenance systems and industrial control systems.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and organize work activities to meet deadlines.
• Document equipment records and manage administrative tasks.
• Develop and promote use of Fiix CMMS; optimize planning.
• Manage spare parts inventory and material lists for maintenance.
• Assist Maintenance Manager to extend equipment life and reduce costs.
• Operate hydraulic and pneumatic systems for multiple projects.
• Develop repair and maintenance programs to improve production efficiency.
• Execute work orders, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance with shift teams during terminal operations.
