Job summary

New Fortress Energy is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for machinery at the San Juan terminal, PR, ensuring all equipment runs reliably and production goals are met. The role is 24/7, requiring physical work, mobility, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities include documenting equipment records, using Fiix CMMS, managing spare parts, coordinating with shift teams, and assisting with maintenance planning to reduce costs and extend asset life.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in maintenance in a process plant or terminal
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience required
• Experience with rotative equipment: pumps and compressors
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control systems

Responsibilities

• Attend to machinery and ensure equipment is in good working order to meet production goals
• Be available 24/7 to respond to breakdowns and issues
• Document equipment records and make administrative decisions within timelines
• Promote and use the Fiix CMMS for work planning and coordination
• Manage spare parts inventory and prepare lists for future maintenance
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in identifying critical points and cost reduction opportunities
• Operate hydraulic and pneumatic systems for multiple projects
• Develop repair and maintenance programs to improve productivity and quality
• Perform machine maintenance, execute work orders, troubleshoot and install new machines
• Coordinate maintenance activities with shift teams during daily operations
• Other responsibilities as directed by the company
