Job summary

Mars Incorporated in Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician- Mechanical to lead and support progressive maintenance and technical work on Make and Pack equipment on a 12-hour shift. You will perform preventative maintenance, complete work orders, and document activities in SAP Plant Maintenance, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency targets are met.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Technical Degree/Trade Certification OR 2+ years work experience related to industrial maintenance.
Possess a fundamental understanding of Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Schematics and/or Mechanical Drawings to solve equipment problems.
Willingness to develop required technical skills.
Associate degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
Technical/ Trade Certification in Welding, Advanced Machinist Skills, fabrication, and blueprint interpretation.
Advanced understanding of AC/DC Electrical up to 480VAC 3 Phase, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Schematics and Mechanical Drawings to solve problems.
PLC/Instrumentation troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance on various manufacturing Make and Pack equipment.
Complete work orders as assigned and proactively look at work orders to complete as time permits.
Document preventative maintenance and work orders using SAP Plant Maintenance.
Troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems on plant equipment.
