Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support industrial manufacturing with advanced troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. The role focuses on maintaining uptime for complex equipment, including molding and extrusion systems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This is a hands-on position with a path to contribute significantly to production

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
• Repair and maintenance of injection molding and extrusion equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with good time management.
• Experience with injection molded plastics and extrusion processes.
• Certification or diploma in mechanical engineering or industrial maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. Responsibilities

• Performing regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunctions, such as leaks, wear and tear, and sound anomalies.
• Implementing preventive maintenance measures and conducting routine servicing to keep machinery and mechanical equipment in optimal working condition.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults for manufacturing equipment including injection molding machines, extrusion machines, and other related equipment.
• Repairing or replacing broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
• Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to perform installation or repair tasks.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Documenting and maintaining records of all maintenance and repair work done, including the date of service, the nature of tasks, and any parts replaced.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in the Manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures, as well as a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
• Proficiency in repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment, particularly injection molding machines and extrusion machines.
• A solid understanding of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Proven experience with injection molding, Injection Molded Plastic, extruded plastic, and extrusion.
• A valid certification or diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field would be an advantage.
