Job summary

Nathan Trotter & Co. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II (Mechanical) for our Martinsville, Virginia facility.

You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems across a broad range of industrial equipment while supporting both maintenance and production through a cross-trained workforce. Join a legacy company delivering high-purity metals and alloy solutions, with a focus on safety and operational excellence in a newly established Martinsville operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years of mechanical maintenance in heavy industrial environment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Willingness to cross-train in production operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical failures with root-cause analysis.
• Install and maintain pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, valves, piping and related equipment.
• Startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and commissioning activities.
• Read mechanical drawings, work orders, and manuals.
• Collaborate with teams to minimize downtime and support 5S initiatives.
