Job summary

University of New England seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and manage repair, replacement, upgrade, and installation projects across UNE facilities, with a primary focus on HVAC, plumbing, and related mechanical systems.

This role collaborates with facilities leadership, maintenance staff, contractors, engineers, and vendors to develop scopes of work, coordinate repairs, and ensure projects meet safety, energy efficiency, and code compliance while minimizing

Qualifications

• Some post-secondary education or related training in construction management, project management, engineering, or facilities management.
• Five or more years of experience managing mechanical installation, repair, replacement, or maintenance projects in commercial/campus environments.
• Experience coordinating scopes of work, contractors, vendors, schedules, budgets, shutdowns, materials, and project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage mechanical installation, repair, replacement, and upgrade projects in UNE facilities.
• Assess mechanical system issues and develop scopes of work, obtain pricing, and coordinate contractors.
• Track budgets, schedules, contractor performance, work quality, and closeout requirements.
• Provide technical direction to maintenance staff on HVAC, boilers, controls, and related systems.
• Coordinate with outside contractors, vendors, engineers, and fuel suppliers to support campus operations.
