Valar Atomics is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner for the Orangeville pilot plant to develop maintenance work packages and planning processes. You will coordinate with operations, engineering, and health physics to ensure readiness and compliance with safety standards.

You will build detailed work scopes for mechanical equipment, manage PM schedules in CMMS, and drive planning improvements as the company scales in the energy sector.

Qualifications

• 0-7 years of related mechanical maintenance, craft or planning experience.
• 2+ years of nuclear or DOE facility planning experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs and vendor technical manuals.
• Must be a U.S. person and able to work on-site in Orangeville, Utah.
• Familiarity with DOE work control processes and safety procedures preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop detailed work scope definitions for corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, valves, piping, HVAC, cranes).
• Prepare and review work control packages referencing procedures, drawings, tools, spare parts, and vendor/contractor support.
• Incorporate rigging, LOTO, isolation boundaries, confined space controls into work packages as required.
• Establish schedule activities, durations and resource requirements; provide alternatives when constraints arise.
• Build and maintain asset records, PM schedules and work orders in CMMS (eMaint).
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, health physics, EHS and supply chain to ensure work readiness.
• Ensure packages comply with DOE nuclear safety requirements, OSHA standards, and site procedures.
• Use automated tools to develop schedules, spreadsheets, reports and graphics.
• Help create and continuously improve planning procedures, templates and standards.
