Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Maintenance Front Line Leader – Mechanical at the Prattville Mill in Prattville, AL. The role leads safety programs and directs mechanical maintenance for complex process lines, coordinating with Operations, Reliability and Engineering to optimize uptime.

You will coach technicians, plan daily/weekly maintenance, and oversee outages while guiding resource allocation and performance reviews. A strong mechanical background and SAP CMMS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
• Five years of experience in pulp and paper preferred.
• Leadership experience in manufacturing environments is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Coach, mentor, and develop mechanical maintenance personnel to improve skills.
• Manage daily maintenance activities including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities with Operations, Reliability, and Engineering teams.
• Drive work execution through the SAP notification and work order process.
• Plan and oversee complex mechanical maintenance and outage work.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations for equipment failures.
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
