Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the general mechanic team to deliver safety, engagement, and reliability results.
• Manage team compliance with policies, procedures, and labor agreement.
• Approve pay/vacation scheduling and perform labor-related admin tasks.
• Oversee time/attendance, performance, and record keeping for the crew.
• Conduct 1:1s to provide guidance and development feedback.
• Identify training needs and implement training plans for crew.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance activities.
• Work with AMM and other mill areas to share resources for maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to resource tasks across disciplines.
• Respond to off-shift and weekend maintenance issues as needed.
• Communicate maintenance plans in daily/weekly meetings to operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions.
• Serve as contractor coordinator for vendor resources.
• Contribute as a key member of the MWS team within the MWS process.
• Align responsibilities with IP reliability systems (RCFA, PM/PdM, etc.).
• Improve or implement new work systems to sustain progress.
• Implement and sustain 5S in designated areas.
• Join weekend duty team for Maintenance department.
