Job summary

Ambs Chemical Search LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support mechanical equipment health and integrity at a chemical plant. The role reports to the Site Manager and focuses on maintaining equipment reliability, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing vessels, piping, relief devices; overseeing the fire protection program and SIS; coordinating MOC and PHA; performing RCFA; providing training; and initiating projects to strengthen mechanical integrity.

Qualifications

• Mechanical integrity and process safety know-how.
• Experience with vessels, piping, relief devices, and CUI programs (where applicable).
• Knowledge of RCFA and risk assessment techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair mechanical equipment (vessels, piping, relief devices) and manage CUI program.
• Oversee plant fire protection program and test/maintain SIS.
• Coordinate MOC and process hazards analysis (PHAs).
• Direct risk assessment techniques.
• Lead or participate in plant incident investigations and RCFA.
• Provide training to plant personnel on mechanical integrity and process safety.
• Initiate and manage projects related to mechanical integrity.

Mechanical Engineer to support mechanical equipment and mechanical integrity needs for a chemical plant. Profit share, strong 401k, 9/80 schedule. This role reports directly to the Site Manager and will be responsible for equipment health and related PSM issues.

• Manage inspections and repairs of mechanical equipment (vessels, piping, relief devices, corrosion under insulation (CUI) program
• Manage the plant fire protection program and test/maintain SIS
• Coordinate management of change (MOC) and process hazards analysis
• Direct risk assessment techniques
• Lead, facilitate, or participate in plant incident investigations and conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
• Provide training to plant personnel regarding mechanical integrity and related process safety
• Initiate and manage projects related to mechanical integrity
