Job summary

Lennox International is hiring a Mechanical Machine Assembler in New York for 10-hour shifts, four days a week. The role involves precise assembly of mechanical parts, wiring motors and control panels, and maintaining production records. Candidates should have 1–2 years in manufacturing or mechanical assembly, read/write in English, and be able to handle overtime.

The position offers an hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits as part of Lennox’s manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read/write.
• Must be able to read/write drawings and wiring diagrams in English.
• Proficient with wire cutters, crimpers, screwdrivers & electric drills.
• Must operate an electrical wire soldering tool.
• Able to work 10 hours days 4 days a week and overtime as needed.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and products using a variety of tools and equipment per specifications and procedures.
• Ensure parts fit correctly and are suitable for final product.
• Join, fasten, and connect components as required.
• Perform electrical wiring tasks including motors, control panels, sensors, and switches.
• Record daily production and maintain quotas; report issues and defects.
• Load raw materials as needed and troubleshoot assembly issues.
• Maintain records of assembly activities and modifications.

The Mechanical Machine Assembler’s primary function is to precisely assemble mechanical components and systems.

Job Duties:

• Assemble parts, pieces and/or products using a variety of tools and/or equipment according to required specifications, processes, and procedures in an area of production in a manufacturing environment.
• Ensure that all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product.
• Use various equipment to join, fasten, and connect parts.
• Handle electrical wiring tasks, including connecting motors, control panels, sensors, and switches.
• Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections.
• Record daily production and maintain production quotas on Duro Dyne forms.
• Maintain records of assembly activities, including documenting any modifications, defects, or adjustments made during the assembly process.
• Load all raw materials as needed.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues that arise during the assembly process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience.

Physical Requirements

• Must be in good physical condition.
• Must have good eye/hand coordination.
• Must be able to lift up 20 lbs. routinely.
• Must be able to sit stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
• Use of one or both feet or legs to move controls on machinery or equipment. Controls include, but are not limited to, pedals, buttons, levers, and cranks.
• Holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s). Note: Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand to hold or operate a tool such as pliers.

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $17.00-$22.00/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
