Qualifications

• At least six years of related mechanical experience or a U.S. DOL certificate.
• Must meet GM hiring process requirements including assessments, drug testing, and background check.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including day, afternoon, night, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety procedures per OSHA and company policies.
• Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, and repair piping systems.
• Use hand or power tools to measure, cut, thread, bend, solder, and install pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Read and interpret blueprints for conveyors, robotics, and automation.
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and lifts.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and grinders to precision specifications.
• Plan operation sequences for fabricating tools and assemblies.
• Verify finished parts against specs using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
