Job summary

Core Scientific is seeking a Journeyman, Mechanical to perform skilled, independent mechanical work across HVAC, piping, and related systems in our data center environment. The role requires a completed apprenticeship, 7+ years of hands-on trade experience, and a valid driver’s license.

You will handle preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of equipment, including HVAC, hydronics, and mechanical pumps, with a focus on reliability and safety in a multi-site data center

Qualifications

• Formal vocational school training in the fundamentals of the trade is required.
• 7+ years of increasingly responsible experience in the trade.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to follow guidance from staff and management.
• Basic email and MS Office proficiency.
• Positive, professional attitude with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Break-fix of electro-mechanical systems (HVAC, Hydronics, appliances, doors, etc.).
• Conduct spill and leak detection inspections and repairs.
• Hydronic rack cooling maintenance and commissioning.
• Preventive maintenance on HVAC and Hydronic systems.
• Site scheduling, material requisition, and reporting.
• Provide mechanical project support and equipment status logging.
• Clean-in-place on heat exchangers and chiller inspections.
• Site plumbing maintenance/repair and eyewash/shower checks.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and power tools as required.
• Maintain professional communication within the team and with leaders.
