Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) seeks an Engineering Consultant to support the Mechanical Integrity Department at the Charlotte, NC office. This full-time position is 40 hours per week with potential overtime.

Recent graduates in Mechanical/Civil Engineering are encouraged, and ATS will fast track API certifications. Responsibilities include field inspections of storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping, performing API/ASME calculations, and developing AutoCAD drawings.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering.
• Experience with API/ASME inspection standards preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of industrial equipment under the supervision of API Inspection personnel.
• Generate calculations in accordance with API, ASME, STI, etc.
• Generate written reports utilizing MS Word and MS Excel.
• Develop AutoCAD drawings or isometrics.
• Assist in managing projects ranging from $5,000 - $100,000.
• Assist in managing client relationships.
