Job summary

RA Holdings Group is seeking an experienced mechanical insulation supervisor for Raleigh/Sanford, NC. You will lead crews, install insulation and ductwork, and ensure projects meet schedule and quality standards across commercial, industrial, and federal sites.

The role requires strong coordination with GC Superintendents and Project Managers, blueprints interpretation, and the ability to drive to multiple project sites within the Raleigh and Sanford area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a mechanical insulator or in a related construction trade is preferred.

• Manage and coordinate work across 3–5 active projects at a time, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Install insulation and ductwork on mechanical systems such as pipes, HVAC systems, and equipment to control temperature and prevent energy loss.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine insulation requirements and project scope.
• Communicate and coordinate with GC Superintendents, Project Managers, clients, and other trades regarding schedules and installation requirements.

Job description

EssentialJobDuties:

• Supervise and lead mechanical insulation crews on commercial, industrial, military, and federal projects.
• Manage and coordinate work across3–5 active projects at a time, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Install insulation and ductwork on mechanical systems such as pipes, HVAC systems, and equipment to control temperature and prevent energy loss.
• Work with various insulation materials, including fiberglass, cellular glass, closed cell foam products, and various field-applied weather/vapor barriers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine insulation requirements and project scope.
• Apply insulation to both hot and cold systems, including refrigeration and cold storage applications.
• Communicate and coordinate with General Contractor (GC) Superintendents, Project Managers, clients, and other trades regarding project schedules, jobsite conditions, progress, and installation requirements.
• Order and coordinate materials, supplies, and equipment needed to keep projects on schedule.
• Plan daily manpower and work assignments while ensuring crews have the materials and resources needed to complete their work.
• Train, mentor, and provide hands-on direction to insulation crew members and less experienced employees.
• Drive a company provided vehicle as needed to transport materials and crew members to and from project sites.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:

• Previous experience as amechanicalinsulator or in a related construction trade is preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check to obtain DBIDS military badging.
• Must have the REAL ID or ability to obtain one.
• Clean driving record, or no-fault accidents, to qualify for our Company Auto Insurance.
• Ability to drive to project sites within Raleigh and Sanford, NC area.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm

Location:

• Raleigh/Sanford/Fayetteville, NC

Pay:

• $28–$32/hr+ (Depending on Experience)
