Qualifications

• Must have 3-5 years' experience estimating construction projects.
• Experience estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Has a record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
• Cost analysis skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to read project schedules to determine sequencing and durations.
• Proficiency with takeoff/estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift.
• Must understand estimating techniques and the bidding process.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment or independently.
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions.
• possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimates.
• Maintain relationships with area vendors for pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work outside our self-performing group.
• Understand market conditions to establish margin percentages.
• Involvement in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams.
• Participate in customer alignment objectives and maintain relations.
• Contract administration for secured projects.
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules.
• Hand off secured projects to Operations Team.
• Assist in change order management or billings as needed.
• Support estimating team for product line collaboration.
