Job summary

Probo Medical is seeking a Mechanical Installation Technician 1 to travel nationwide, install and de-install high-value imaging equipment across hospitals, universities, and federal sites. You will lead deinstallation efforts within a modality, maintain strong customer relations, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires reading and interpreting manuals, writing routine reports, and maintaining a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read metric and standard units and use leveling methods.

Responsibilities

  • Travel up to 100% of the time across the country.
  • Install, de-install, relocate, and upgrade high-value imaging equipment.
  • Maintain customer relationships and comply with PROBO SOP and ISO 9001:2008 standards.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance and a safe work environment.
  • Document activities and coordinate with team leaders and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Represent PROBO professionally with customers and on-site personnel.

The Mechanical Installation Technician 1 work activities may include coordination, installation, de-installation, relocation, and/or service upgrades of high value complex equipment in but not limited to hospitals, universities and Federal Buildings. Various equipment from each modality may include but not be limited to AXA, AXD, CT, MR, and NM and other related technical peripherals associated with these modalities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Up to 100% travel throughout the country
  • Maintains integrity of confidential information
  • Maintains customer relationships, and comply with PROB SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and policy, customer requirements, and statutory and regulatory guidelines
  • Responsible for following all safety OSHA guidelines
  • Maintains a safe work environment through safe work practices
  • To deliver a safe and timely installation to the customer
  • Assists the Team Leader with maintaining documentation in accordance with the PROBO SOP and customer requirements
  • Represents PROBO and the customer in a professional and courteous manner
  • Assists Team Leader with quality and compliance with the PROBO SOP, customer requirements, and ISO 9001:2008 (International Standard Organization) and ensures each process is followed by each team member
  • Assists the Team Leader with coordinating suppliers and helps with direct on-site deliveries of equipment.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to read Metric and Standard measurement and use leveling methods to complete related work activities.
  • Provide and maintain a valid driver's license and maintain clean driving record.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED, Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year university or technical school; or a minimum of 2 years of related experience to work activities or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • The position will require the ability to travel, up to 100% of the time.

Pay range:

Level 1: $22.00 - $24.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
