Job summary

Dematic is seeking Mechanical Installers to work on diverse customer projects nationwide. You may be based anywhere in the continental USA and will travel 90% to customer sites, lifting up to 50 lbs and performing mechanical tasks with high quality under site supervision.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred) and a valid driver’s license, with 2–5 years of experience in installing/maintaining cranes or conveyors.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience installing/maintaining storage and retrieval cranes, conveyors, or other automated equipment
• Valid driver’s license required
• Experience in conveyor system layout and installation tasks

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for safety and the safety of others around
• Complete assigned mechanical tasks within allotted time and high quality
• Take direction from the site supervisor or foreman
• Provide support to the site supervisor and foreman
• Travel 90% to customer sites within the USA
• Lift at least 50 lbs
• Move around large construction sites in various climates and environments

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $22.89 - $30.96 per hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role:

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience;
• Technical degree or specialized training preferred but not required
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience and knowledge in installing and/or maintaining Storage and Retrieval Cranes, conveyor, or other automated equipment
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Experience in conveyor system layout, component pre-assembly, header steel installation, platform and structural steel erection, conveyor installation, guard rail, rack, air piping, detailing and run-in of installed equipment
