Job summary

Winshaw Hydraulic Tools, based in Houston, TX, seeks a hydraulic technician to install, maintain and repair hydraulic systems. You will read blueprints and diagrams, troubleshoot problems, and perform preventative maintenance to prevent failures.

Occasional welding, fabrication, and electrical assembly are part of daily tasks. You will use computers and email to diagnose issues, review parts, and coordinate repairs, disassemble and reassemble machines, and occasionally operate machining tools

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and diagrams while troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to avoid operational failures of hydraulic systems.
• Occasional welding, metal fabrication and electrical assembly work.
• Must use computers, email and other technologies to investigate and repair hydraulic equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair hydraulic systems as required.
• Read gauges to determine pressure and evaluate system performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose hydraulic issues using diagrams and drawings.
• Disassemble, inspect, modify and reassemble components for testing and repair.
• Occasionally operate drill press, grinders, engine lathe or other machines to modify parts for testing.

Winshaw Hydraulic Tools is a fast paced and dynamic hydraulics company based in Houston, Texas. Started in 2013, Winshaw has enjoyed continued growth and expansion over the years. Currently the next step in expansion requires the addition of another hydraulic technician.

The responsibilities of the technician are shown below:

• The installation, maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems.
• Read blueprints and diagrams while troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to avoid operational failures of hydraulic systems.
• Occasional welding, metal fabrication and electrical assembly work.
• Must be able to provide drawing review and suggestions related to part inspection and testing.
• Must use computers, emailand other technologies to investigate and repair hydraulic equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble machines and equipment.
• Read gaugesto determine pressure as part of a system to evaluate performance of the equipment.
• Occasionally operate drill press, grinders, engine lathe, or other machines to modify parts tested or to fabricate experimental parts for testing.

The position demands a good knowledge of hydraulics and an ability to start working day one on projects currently under way.

Pay Rate based on experience.
