Job summary

Winshaw Hydraulic Tools, based in Houston, TX, seeks a hydraulic technician to install, maintain and repair hydraulic systems. You will read blueprints and diagrams, troubleshoot problems, and perform preventative maintenance to prevent failures.

Occasional welding, fabrication, and electrical assembly are part of daily tasks. You will use computers and email to diagnose issues, review parts, and coordinate repairs, disassemble and reassemble machines, and occasionally operate machining tools

Qualifications

Read blueprints and diagrams while troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
Perform preventative maintenance to avoid operational failures of hydraulic systems.
Occasional welding, metal fabrication and electrical assembly work.
Must use computers, email and other technologies to investigate and repair hydraulic equipment.
Disassemble and reassemble machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain and repair hydraulic systems as required.
Read gauges to determine pressure and evaluate system performance.
Troubleshoot and diagnose hydraulic issues using diagrams and drawings.
Disassemble, inspect, modify and reassemble components for testing and repair.
Occasionally operate drill press, grinders, engine lathe or other machines to modify parts for testing.
