Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to lead HVAC design within our collaborative MEP consulting team.

You will mentor engineers, manage projects from concept through construction, and work on high-impact facilities across K-12, municipal, commercial, and government sectors. This role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 8+ years of HVAC design experience, and a Virginia PE or ability to obtain licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of HVAC design experience in an MEP consulting environment.
• PE license (or ability to obtain Virginia licensure immediately).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with K-12, commercial, municipal, government, healthcare, or data center projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC and mechanical system design, including calculations and construction documents.
• Manage projects from planning through construction administration, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule goals.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions.
• Oversee bidding support, RFIs, submittals, commissioning activities, and field coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform quality reviews.
