Job summary

Turner Industries is hiring a Mechanical Foreman for the Pasadena, TX area. The role requires supervising a crew, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring work meets quality and safety standards.

Candidates should have at least 4 years as a Mechanic A/Journeyman, pass pre-employment screenings, and be prepared for extended hours and on-call work. NCCER is preferred and a valid TWIC/driver license is often required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Mechanic A/Journeyman.
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner industries, Ltd. Indoctrination.
• OSHA‑required safety eyewear (Z87) and PPE.
• Job site orientation and client safety requirements.
• Direct threat policy as per safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Interprets blueprints, sketches, and orders; assigns duties and coordinates work.
• supervises and directs workers to meet production goals.
• Inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains staff.
• Ensures safety rules are followed and coordinates safety programs.
• Maintains records and may estimate worker-hour needs for completion.

Functional Requirements

Interprets blueprints, sketches, written and/or verbal orders; assigns duties, lines up and follows up all work and is responsible for production of the unit; inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of their duties; supervises and coordinates activities of assigned construction workers; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; analyzes and resolves work related problems; implements safety programs; ensures job site materials and equipment are in good condition; may maintain time, production and other records; may study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
